The Killing Fields was a five-year campaign of terror and genocide that left nearly 2 million Cambodians dead. The LA Times did a short doc series on a new generation of Cambodian Americans using art to make sense of a dark past and a culture that was nearly eradicated by the Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s. The full video series and storywritten  by Frank Shyong ran in the LA Times with photos by Christina House. Below is the trailer.
